ENTER.Sake Black is a kind of Honjozoshu (adding liquor to Sake).
Generally speaking, Honjozoshu is not considered better than Junmai-shu (Pure Rice Sake).
Junmai-shu is more commonly drank because it is found more “tasty” and is a more traditional Japanese Sake (like in the old times).
But taste really depends on Sake maker’s skills. Thanks to it, Honjozoshu can be very high quality.
For example, Takagi Shuzo (高木酒造)’s ( Brewery) Jyuyondai (十四代) is Honjozoshu type, but is mostly admitted to be delicious.
Jyuyondai Price for 1.8L bottle is about 2,000JPY, this premium price is caused by the fact that it is hard to find in liquor stores.
Richie Hawtin’s is definitely an awesome DJ and if you go to his party you can enjoy dancing while having a taste of his delicious Sake. Definitely a great experience!
